April 2014:  As I mentioned previously, there are no roads that go to Capurganá. To get there you have to arrive either by boat or by plane. The runway is small and right in town. Since we did not arrive by plane, I have no photos of the airport or the runway. The other means of arrival is by boat and I suspect this is how almost everything arrives.

Below is a boat being unloaded, it barely looks sea-worthy but it is completely loaded.  There are food products, paper products, and even a large pile of bricks.

Once you arrive in Capurganá, most people get around on foot. There are dirt roads and a few that have cobblestones. The local residents are creative and offer an alternative means of transport on these roads.

We did see one motorized vehicle while we were there. I am not sure if it arrived by boat or by plane.

We did enjoy the occasional local taxi, but mostly, we walked.
